Skipping a customer with #dnc

Prevent some customers from receiving messages

Sometimes you finish a job but do not want to ask that customer for a review. A difficult job or a sensitive customer is a good reason to skip the request. Praiseworthy gives you a simple way to do this from inside ServiceM8.

There is no native way to unsubscribe contacts in ServiceM8, so we have a simple workaround.

You type #dnc or #donotcontact anywhere in the job description or technicians put it in the job notes. You add the tag before the job reaches your trigger status. Praiseworthy reads the job description when the job comes through and skips any job carrying the tag.

The tag keeps that customer out of the review flow entirely. No request goes out for that job. The rest of your jobs continue as normal.

Use the tag whenever a job should stay private. Your technician can add it in the field, since the job description travels with the job and they can easily type it in the job notes before completing the job. The decision stays in your hands, job by job.
