Choosing your trigger event

A trigger event is the point at which Praiseworthy sends an automated review request from ServiceM8. You choose the trigger from your integration settings. By default it is job status = "Completed". The trigger decides the moment your customer hears from you.

You have two options. Job completed sends the request when the job is marked complete in ServiceM8. Payment received sends the request when the job is paid. Both fire from a job reaching that status in your account.

Pick the trigger that matches when your customer is happiest. A business that finishes the work and leaves a satisfied customer often picks job completed. A business that wants to wait until the invoice is settled often picks payment received. You know your customers, so you choose the moment.

There is a 5-minute grace period if your team makes a mistake. Praiseworthy will not import data right away from ServiceM8. First we confirm the trigger event occurred, then we wait to check again before queueing on confirmation.

Praiseworthy uses one trigger at a time per connection. Changing the trigger applies to new jobs from that point on. Jobs already processed are not re-sent.

You define how long to wait between sending another review request to customers in your campaign settings.
