Why some records need mapping

Mapping exists to protect attribution. Attribution is the point of Praiseworthy, so the app refuses to attribute a review to a guess. A staged record is the app being careful, not the app failing.

Two situations create a staged record. An identifier arrives that the app has never seen. A name arrives that is close to an existing record but not an exact match. In both cases Praiseworthy holds the record rather than risk linking it to the wrong staff member or location.

Mapping is a one-time cost per identifier. The first job from a new technician needs a mapping. Every job after that flows automatically. The work shrinks as your team and locations settle, because the app stores the identifiers you confirm.
